In our projects in PNG, especially along the Sepik River, we have collaborated with tribes like the Iatmul and Chambri, who are known for their “crocodile men” initiation rituals and the iconic “spirit houses” filled with carvings. These ancestral practices face growing threats from modernization and tourism.
